A Telco Cable is a thick trunk cable used for connecting multiple voice or data lines for LANs (local area network) or Telecommunications. This cable handles a total up to 25 data channels or phone lines in it. It has also been referred to as a Amphenol cable and the name originated from the company that first manufactured this cable.

Designed for use with voice and low data applications with punch down blocks, patch panels, and distribution boxes. Almost every phone system uses this type of cable. Depending on where the contractor installs the phone system many different lengths are available. The common color is Gray and made of Polyvinyl chloride also referred to a PVC in the industry.

Most manufactures have standardized on this color for this material. Another standardized color for a different material will be white and this color is almost every time associated with Plenum cable. (Please call for price and availability).

The Telco cable is also associated with Pre-wired 66 blocks pre-assembled with an RJ-21. Telco Cable Assembly provides connectivity for voice and data applications. It can be used on patch panels, punch down boxes, distribution boxes, and 66 and 110 wiring blocks.
